P/b, approximately 11 x 13cm. 38p. 'A Short Guide To Great Britain'.  Prepared by the Special Services Division, Army Service Forces, US Army for use by military personnel only.  Intended to give US servicemen an idea of life in Britain - 'Remember there's a war on.  Britain may look a little shop-worn and grimy to you... the houses haven't been painted because factories are not making paint - they're making planes.  The famous English gardens and parks are either unkept because there are no men to take care of them, or they are being used to grown needed vegetables'.  There is also advice not to brag, show off or criticize, be polite and show respect.  A glossary of terms and table of British currency were also included to help the GI to fit in.  Some creasing and soiling, has rusted staples but in good overall condition.  Guaranteed original and not one of the modern copies.  Stock code P24215A-190
