By the Pioneer Parachute Company Inc. Consists of the full harness, backpad, seat pack with bungees, canopy with drogue, seat cushion, ripcord assembly and log book. The harness is generally in very good used condition bar one small section where the edge is frayed and some wear around the ripcord handle housing (see photograph). This is the earlier type of harness with clips (dog-lead style) rather than the later Q/R box type. The backpad, part no. AN4202013 is in good condition bar light soiling. The pad has the owner's details stencilled on to a cotton label. The pack is also by Pioneer and although a bit grubby and faded is in good condition with Aug.1942 date and serial number 291803. It contains the original correctly packed white canopy that is complete with the rigging lines and drogue parachute canopy. Fitted with the correct seat cushion in excellent condition. The assembly is complete with ripcord/handle and housing and the pack has original bungees (one broken). Finally there is the log book - this has a matching serial number and is named to a Lt. Evans, matching the name on the backpad. It has entries from December 1942 through to April 1944. This is an impressive display piece in excellent original condition.
