By the Switlik Parachute Company. Consists of the full S-1 harness, backpad, seat pack, canopy, seat cushion and ripcord assembly. The harness is in very good used condition bar light soiling. It is stamped with the manufacturer's details and dated July 1942. This is the earlier type of harness with 'push/twist' clips rather than the later single point quick-release box type. The backpad, part no. AN42D2013, is in very good condition. The pack, an AN6510-1, manufactured by the Atlantic Parachute Corp has not fared so well and has damage to one of the end flaps. Unfortunately there are tears and fabric loss. However it is well stamped and has a faint 1943 date mark. It contains what appears to be the original white 'Pioneer Parachute Co.' canopy complete with the rigging lines. We have not opened the pack completely but it is May 1945 dated, seems to be complete and in fairly good condition. Fitted with the correct seat cushion in excellent condition. This is manufactured by Fashion Frocks Inc, and 1943 dated. The assembly is complete with ripcord/handle and housing though the end of the housing isn't stitched to the pack due to the damage mentioned above. This is an impressive display piece let down by the damage on the pack. Fortunately we are able to supply a spare pack giving the new owner the opportunity to swap the pack. This spare is by Irving Air Chute, dated April 1944 and in very good condition bar some soiling. A rarer pattern assembly in need of a little attention but still an impressive display piece.
