By Elgin. 1945 contract date. Black dial with Arabic numerals. Luminous hands and markings. Elgin 539 16-jewel 'hack' lever escapement movement that appears to be in very good working order and the watch is currently keeping good time. The case has relatively minor wear/scratches, the dial is excellent and the crystal is very good bar one deeper scratch as seen in the photographs. The watch case has full AAF markings on the screw-back rear cover. Fitted with a good modern black leather strap (or swap for the original fabric strap currently on offer). An excellent example.
