USAAF A-11 intermediate flying helmet, wired
By the Consolidated Slipper Corp. Size medium. The leather is in excellent condition - clean and supple with good straps. Excellent Bennett type buckle and the chinstrap is good c/w metal end tip. The lining is in good condition with average soiling and marked with an AAF ink stamp/decal and the owner's initials. USAAF embroidered label. Wired with a standard 'Y' loom, matched early R-14 receivers by the Consolidated Radio Prod. Co. and black PL-54 jackplug. This is the later war variant with a buckled rear adjustment strap and leather reinforced oxygen mask press studs. Oddly the Bennett buckle lacks the small metal 'loop' through which the chinstrap is passed. However, there is no damage or evidence of removal and having checked, several other A-11s we have in stock are exactly the same. A very good '+' example. Stock code H21266.
