Helmet, Flying, Summer, Type A-9. Size medium. Green cotton helmet field modified with the addition of pressed leather earcups. This example is a first pattern helmet that does not have 'cut-outs' at the cheek. Complete with all straps/hooks for attachment of the A-8A, A-9 & A-10 oxygen masks. The leather chinstrap has a fleece chinpad & buckle. Retains both of the laces around the face opening & neck. Labelled. The cloth is clean and free of damage. Light verdigris on some metalwork. Inner fleece pads probably removed when the earcups were fitted. Some wear on the chinpad but in good '+' overall condition. Sold unwired but we can supply a 'Y' loom and receivers if required.
