USN / NAF 1092-72 flying helmet
USN / Naval Aircraft Factory helmet in chamois lined dark brown leather. The chinstrap has a pressed leather chincup and fastens at each side with single pronged buckle. Silk drawstrings around the face and neck. Fitted with a central rear goggle strap with smaller straps either side that close with 'Lift-the-Dot' fasteners. Very good supple leather with a little scuffing, mainly on the rear crown area. Good clean lining. The chincup is a bit mishapen but remains good. Some soft verdigris on the buckles. Very good used.
