USAAF B-15 Flying Jacket

Measures around 46"+ (externally) so should comfortably fit a 42" chest. Early example without the small oxygen mask clip tab and wiring loom retaining strap. The material is in very good condition although it has faded with a slightly yellow sheen and light soiling. Small tear on the back of the left arm (as worn) and relatively minor fraying at the right sleeve end where the cotton meets the cuff (see photo). Original brass Conmar zip. The knitted wristlets are a little ragged at the ends but the waistband is very good indeed. The lining is also very good bar a few loose stitches adjacent to the left inner pocket (as worn) - an easy repair. The 'fur' collar is in very good overall condition. It has never been fitted with the rear strap/flap. The jacket is unlabelled but has a faded AAF colour decal and wording 'Army Air Forces' to the left shoulder. These jackets are getting very rare to find now and this is a good '+' solid wearable example. Stock code J19049.
