Framed/glazed photograph showing officers of Nos. 1 and 2 Squadrons RCAF, Camp Borden, and their Gipsy Moth Aircraft. Dated September 2nd 1930. Presented with the compliments of the de Havilland Aircraft of Canada Ltd. Approx. 33 x 32cm. Actual image size approx. 24 x 20cm. The top section shows the aircraft on the flightline, the middle section shows the officers in front of one aircraft and the lower section was intended for signatures. Strangely, these have been done using chinagraph pencil or similar and written directly onto the surface of the glass. Over the years some of these have faded/worn a bit and care would be needed to clean the glass without removing them completely! Would appear to have never been out of the frame in the last 84 years. Some minor knocks to the frame but in good overall condition. Stock code P16966.
