R.A.F. Slouch Hat

Size 7, 1944 dated. R.A.F. khaki fur felt slouch hat as issued to personnel in the Far East and Western Desert. Excellent moth free condition bar minor spot staining. Has the original Puggaree band fitted with sewn RAF 'flash'. The inner leather lining band is in good condition and stamped '7, V5553, 1944, Patent Serial No.115305'. Also retains the original leather chinstrap and buckle in good order. This example has never been fitted with the press studs often used to hold one side of the brim up against the crown.
