RAF C-type Flying Helmet, Late Pattern

Stores Ref. 22c/879, (7 1/8 - 7, 3/8). Size 3. The leather is completely supple and is generally in very good condition although it has a few small areas of surface nicks/peeling - near the oxygen mask flat hook and surrounding area. Nothing too serious - see photos. All straps are good and retain the majority of the original coatings on the press studs. Two of the straps have been dliberately @APOS@notched@APOS@ for some reason (see photos). The lining is cleaner than average and named to the owner. The rubber receiver carriers are both excellent. Whilst the chinstrap is faded and soiled it does retain some elasticity. Fully wired with an excellent light mauve flecked pale tan coloured loom, receivers and black cased bell jackplug. A good @APOS@+@APOS@ to very good used example. Stock code H17706.
