Cotton canvas pouch approx. 19 x 11cm. Flapped closure to one end secured with a 'lift-the-dot' type fastening. Spring clip attachment to the other end. Messages could be placed within the bag and a streamer or small parachute attached to the other to enable messages to be dropped from aircraft to troops on the ground. Printed to one side 'Mail or Deliver To Nearest Army Air Forces Troops - Official Business Only - Penalty For Private Use $300'.
