Metal links for the Vickers Machine Gun, Pattern 1915, .30 Caliber. RFC aircrews suffered problems with canvas machine gun belts flapping around in the aircraft slipstream. These metal links fell apart in use eliminating the problem. Small card box containing 10 links. These show storage age and wear with light surface corrosion. The original box is printed is complete although with some damage. Interesting and unusual find. Stock code M15426.
