RAF MK.VIII Flying Spectacles

Stores Ref. 22c/961. Size medium. By HCO. Standard WW2 issue MK.VIII anti-glare spectacles/sunglasses with grey/green tinted lenses in steel wire frames with side-arms having 'wrap-around' ear pieces. Very good condition bar a small chips to the edge of the left lens (see photo).  The frame has minor verdigris deposits.  The arms open quite widely and have minor distortion.  They are War Department broad arrow & ref. number marked. The original hard case is actually marked up for the slightly later MK.VIII variant (22c/1072).  This doesn't close together completely accurately but is generally in very good order.  Stores ref.
