RAF 1933 Pattern Flying Gauntlets

Gauntlet, Flying, 1933 Pattern.  Stores reference 22c/264/271.  Size 8/9. The leather is in good undamaged condition but shows use and wear with soiling to the palms and fingers.  There is minor abrasion on the left cuff (see photo).  The gloves are supple and a good colour match with Air Ministry King's crown and A.I.D. markings inside.   Both are dated 1941 and have the owner's name faintly marked, 'I J Fergusson'.   One is marked as an '8' and the other a '9' although they don't appear particularly different in size and have clearly been issued and used as a pair.  Very good zips - both complete with leather pull tabs.  A good used pair of these Battle of Britain period gloves.
