RAF Navigator's Bag

Stores reference 1A/3927. The ultra-rare light green canvas holdall used by the Navigator to carry the chartboard, maps, parallel rules, pencils, protractors, compasses etc. Approx. 50 x 50cm with flapped pockets to both sides and two carrying handles. No obvious/visible marks. The heavy cotton canvas is a bit faded and has marks and stains. The colour variation and fading is best shown on the photo showing both ends. The bag is generally in very good/sound condition bar one small hole near the base on one side (see photo). Good solid handles. One press stud appears to have been replaced (brighter) and another is slightly pulling through the material. Clearly well used but still a great display piece. These bags are always highly sought after and rarely turn up. Stock code M20291.
