RCAF MK.III Flying Goggles

Stores Ref. 22/397. One of the classic 'Battle of Britain' pattern goggles. The frame retains most of the original paint finish with only very light rubbing and wear on exposed points. All of the frame screws are original and both frame 'stops' are in place.  The leather surrounds are generally good and retain reasonable suppleness - as usual there is some hardening of the internal padding and variable patination to the leather but other than a few nicks and scuffs, no damage or repairs. The lenses have light marking and scratching but are in good overall condition. The strap springs are all complete, undamaged and in excellent condition. The leather strap section has minor surface wear but is good overall with RCAF stamp and clear 1942 date.  Very good to excellent used overall. Stock code G16759.
