RAF Irvin Flying Jacket Collar Strap

Black elastic strap with metal attachment clips to each end . These were attached to the Irvin using the small brass 'eyes' sewn onto the rear of the collar. These straps are often referred to as spare goggle straps but were in fact used to help pull the collar into the upright position. The elastic is a little grubby and shows some wear but is generally in good order with some elastication remaining. The connectors are very good but the adjuster slide has minor surface corrosion. A decent used example. Remarkably difficult to find.  Sock code J19798.
