USAAF 'tropical' Bancroft visor cap

Bancroft 'Flighter'. Smallish (6^3/4 -7?).  Pale tan cotton lightweight cap with a single thickness chocolate brown peak - the sign of a genuine crusher (folding) cap. Yellow satin lining with greasecloth crown.  The cap does have some moth damage with approximately 5 small holes on the crown and more around the side panel (see photos for examples of this).  Some staining/spot marks on the crown.  Light wear to the edge of the peak but this remains flexible.  Excellent one-piece badge with screw post fixing. The greasepaper liner is discoloured / wrinkled as usual but the Bancroft logo is visible beneath.  Perforated inner leather band shows wear/soiling but again the 'Curve Controlled Flighter' logo are clearly visible. Named to the owner.  Fair '+' /quite good used overall. Bancroft caps are considered by most collectors to be the finest available and the 'Flighter' is always highly sought after.
