RAF 1930 Pattern Flying Suit

SOLD

Code: S20576

Stores Ref. 22c/311. Size 2 (Ht. 5'5"-5'6", Br. 33/35", Wt. 30-32", Seat 35-38", Leg 28"). Early wartime version of the Sidcot produced in grey green rubberised cotton as used for the 1932 pattern Mae West. The material is in very good overall condition - a little faded in places and with some relatively light soiling and marking - one more notable mark on the right leg pocket and some water marks to the rear upper back area (see photos). The rear belt has been cut short (see photos) and the internal rubberised coating is shedding a bit as usual. The suit retains the cloth hanger, 1940 date coded cloth label and all of its buttons. One leg zip has a a few teeth missing and lacks a slider but all the remaining zips are original chromed Air Ministry/Lightning and are c/w cloth pull tags. The lining appears to be in very good clean condition. Complete with correct 1930 pattern collar (size 3, 22c/298) in good condition.  Overall this is a very good used example of the scarce 1930 pattern 'Battle of Britain' suit.  Stock code S20576.
