By Buttons Ltd. of Birmingham. Brass buttons, approximately 15mm diameter. Raised border and initials 'R.A.F.' to the centre. Introduced in 1921 under Air Ministry Order 416/21 and worn by RAF station mess waiters on their waistcoats and jackets. Some tarnishing through storage but these are unused. Available in '4's or on the original issue card of 24 buttons, still wrapped in tissue paper. Stock code U17778.
