RAF Irvin Flying Jacket Collar Strap

Black elastic strap with metal attachment clips at each end. These were attached to the Irvin using the small brass 'eyes' sewn onto the rear of the collar. These straps are often referred to as spare goggle straps but were in fact used to help pull the collar into the upright 'stand' position. The elastic is in good order bar minor soiling and wear.  The connectors and adjuster slide are all good but have surface corrosion. A nice used example. Remarkably difficult to find.  Sock code J19799.
