RAF MK.VIII Flying Goggles, Boxed

Stores Ref. 22c/930. The frames are in excellent condition showing little wear or paint chipping.  The leather surround is very good to excellent bar abrasion to the chroming on the lower left side (as worn).  The suede backing is also very good with light even soiling. There is an indistinct reference stamp to the rear of the centre brow pad and embossed Air Ministry crown and ref. marks to the front of the centre brow pad. The strap is quite clean and retains reasonable elasticity and colour. Fitted with clear glass lenses that look good and have only minor edge delamination marks. Complete with the original box of issue in good '+' condition. This also contains a decent pair of spare tinted lenses with some delamination marks and a 2/1942 dated antidim tin/cloth.
