USAAF A-8 Flying Helmet

Helmet, Flying, Summer, Type A-8. Size medium. Green cotton helmet as issued without earpieces. Second variant with 'cut-outs' at the cheek to accomodate use of the A-9 & A-10 oxygen masks. Also complete with all straps/hooks for attachment of the A-8A, A-9 & A-10 oxygen masks. The chinstrap has a fleece chinpad & buckle. Retains both of the laces around the face opening & neck. Labelled. Very clean and free of damage. Light verdigris on some metalwork. Excellent overall condition. Stock code H21097.
