RAF B-type Flying Helmet

SOLD

Code: H15821

By Frank Bryan Ltd. Size 2 (67/8 - 7). 1941 dated. The overall appearance is reasonable. The leather is supple with good original finish although the helmet is rather crumpled from poor storage.  The only area of external damage is a cut on the crown and minor scuffing elsewhere. Fitted with zipped earpieces in good condition with working original zips. The rubber receiver carriers are fitted within. The chinstrap still retains the metal end piece and the Bennett buckle retains its leather covering. The backstrap is also good but the rear Bennett buckle has lost much of the leather covering. The chamois lining has average soiling with most at the back of the neck and donuts. It is complete and undamaged bar a few nicks. Complete with 1941 dated maker's label and A.I.D marks. Unwired. Wiring, receivers, microphones and jackplugs can be supplied at extra cost if required. With a super set of RCAF rubber cushions inside the earpieces. This is actually a decent helmet let down a little by its crumpled appearance which would no doubt improve if placed on a display head. Stock code H15821.
