RAF C-type Flying Helmet, Late pattern

Stores Ref. 22c/879, Size 3. The leather is in very good condition, completely supple and clean with virtually all of the original chromed finish remaining. A War department broad arrow and reference numbers are embossed into the leather. All straps are good and all but one have original coatings on the press studs. The lining has less than average soiling - more on the donuts and nape of the neck as usual.  The rubber receiver carriers are a bit grubby/marked but are in excellent flexible condition (no attempt has been made to clean them).  The chinstrap retains quite good colour and excellent elasticity. No wiring or receivers are fitted. A very good used example. Stock code H18971.
