By The American Optical Co. Nocturnal vision goggles introduced in 1943, these were used to aclimatize the wearer's eyes for nightime flying. Simple folding leather frame with 'fur' trim and red celluloid lenses. Webbing and elastic strap with basic clasp fittings. Unissued conditon. 1943 dated frames.  With original isssue card carton.
