RAF 1941 Patt. Mae West stole (bladder)

SOLD

Code: MW18024

Stores ref. 22c/72. Grey rubberized cotton stole for the 1941 pattern Mae West. The material is generally in very good flexible condition.   It is stained in places and has a genuine period patch near the bottom of the left lobe.  The oral inflation tube looks good but has stiffened as has the rubber around CO2 bottle orifice.  The valve opens and closes freely.  Not fitted with a circlip, inflation lever or CO2 bottle.  These are available to purchase separately.  War department broad arrow and 8/45 manufacture date marks. This would probably still inflate but we advise against this as doing so introduces moisture and can promote internal rotting/perishing. A reasonably good late war example. Stock code MW18024.
