RAF C-type flying helmet, late pattern

Stores Ref. 22c/879, size 3 (7^1/8 - 7 ^3/8). The leather is in very good overall condition, completely supple and quite clean. Minor scuffing, nicks and wear only. Embossed with war department broad arrow and stores reference details.  All goggle straps are good and retain most of the original coating on the press studs. Soft verdigris deposits evident on some metal parts - quite easily removed with methylated spirit. The lining is quite grubby and  has a few smallish holes and areas of wear.  The rubber receiver carriers are excellent/supple.  The chinstrap is grubby/ faded but retains elasticity. Fully wired with a light tan coloured loom, type 32 (10A/13466) receivers and black cased bell jackplug.  A good/good '+' used example. Stock code H22065.
