RAF 1941 patt. Mae West inflation lever

Stores reference 22c/892.  Chromium plated metal 'lever' used to operate the CO2 cartridge within the stole (bladder) of the 1941 pattern Mae West. This rarer simple first pattern lever consists of a 'J' shaped handle that pivots between lugs on the lever body.  The CO2 cylinder is screwed into this assembly and secured within the bladder using a hose clip around the base of the lever assembly (available separately). Air MInistry crown marked.  Light wear and surface pitting but in good condition. These levers also fit stoles fitted within Irvin/GQ harnessuits etc. This particular example was removed from the 'flap type' Mae West used by  R Littlewood DFM, a Spitfire pilot.  Stock code MW21981.
