Wings for Victory certificate, 1943

Paper, approximately 22 x 28cm.  Certificate of honour awarded to the Womens Voluntary Services School Road savings group in recognition of special achievement during the Wings For Victory national savings campaign 1943.  Campaigns were held to raise money to purchase aircraft for the RAF and groups such as the WVS, local schools and towns held fund-raising events.  When certain targets were met a certificate was awarded, as in this case.  A little grubby and creased but really quite hard to find now.  Stock code P21090.
