RAF station operations room 'tile'

Small metal counter or 'tile' marked with the number '28', this used to represent the level of enemy aircraft in the vicinity.  These tiles were mounted on wooden blocks with others indicating the height and direction of the aircraft.  The blocks were pushed around a large map on the 'Operation Room' plotting table by members of the WAAF.  Approximately 3 x 2.5cm.  Found at West Malling some years ago.  Some light scratching, soiling and wear but in good overall condition.  Stock code M17673.
