RAF Mosquito flying boots

Size 8.  Unlined brown suede calf length boots with leather soles.  These are the correct 'all-suede' boots, not the type with a black leather shoe section often passed off as 'Mosquito' boots.  The suede is good condition apart from light soiling and stains.  The top of the rear seam has opened slightly and requires a few stitches.  Both drawstrings and drawstring channels are absent.  These were used to enable a secure fit to prevent insect attack.  The original soles and heels show use and wear but have plenty of 'life' left in them.  Often these boots are unmarked but this pair have Air Ministry King's crown stamps on the instep.  Although this pattern of boot was used by aircrews it was really intended for ground personnel/wear.  This correct pattern 'Mosquito' boot is difficult to obtain and often found in poor condition.  Good used condition.  Stock code B22266.
