'USAAF Mask, Face, Type D-1 (Cold Weather)' by Western Felt Works. Simple unlined pressed felt mask with eye holes and nose vent. Adjustable elasticated webbing staps. Primarily intended for groundcrew but also used by aircrew and included as part of the arctic survival kits for use by downed aircrews. Labelled and with AAF stamps. Excellent condition.
