USAAF Type B-8 flying goggles, boxed

Goggle, Flying Type B-8. By Rochester Optical Manufacturing Co. The rubber frame is marked 'Type B-8, Property A.F. U.S. Army' and is in very good condition bar some light soiling. The chamois backing is peeling slightly at the edges and has average soiling. The strap is also good, though largely lacking any elasticity. Fitted with an amber tinted 'anti-glare' lens in good order. Comes with the correct B-8 cotton pouch containing 7 spare lenses - greens, amber and clear tints. These appear to be in reasonably good condition apart from the usual warping issues. The stud closure on the pouch is also beginning to pull through - see photos. With 7 page instruction leaflet and card carton of issue (both Polaroid) showing wear/use. Overall this is a good '+' set of goggles/spares. Stock code G22280.
