RAF 1941 pattern flying boots

Stores reference 22c/750. Size 7. The brown suede uppers are a little marked and rubbed but in very good overall condition. The rubber 'galosh' section is complete and flexible on both boots. Both heel sections are quite rigid but this is completely normal and exactly as they were manufactured. Original war department broad arrow 'W' zips work but are tarnished and would benefit from lubrication. The original 'Itshide' soles and 'Harefoot' heels are very good and display relatively light wear. Both ankle straps have been carefully removed giving the boots the appearance of the 1940 pattern boot. Closer inspection reveals tell-tale stitch holes at the back where the straps were orginally attached. The fleece linings are good and complete with insoles. Air Ministry, reference and size stamps on the zip tongues. A good pair. Stock code B21612.
