RAF 1932 pattern Mae West - reproduction

SOLD

Code: MW22452

Reproduction 1932 pattern Mae West.  Unknown manufacturer.  Super  replica of the lifejacket produced by Robinson & Cleaver, known as the 'Airvelope' pattern.  The cloth is reasonably accurate and has been carefully rubberised.   Individually cast buckles, lightning brand zip (oversized) and an extremely convincing printed label.   User instructions are stamped onto the Mae West as per originals.   Condition is very good, it has been carefully aged and carries dirt and wear similar to that of an original vintage garment of the period.   It is also fitted with reproduction kapok pads which give it a nice padded look though the pads themselves are not convincing copies.   If you are in the market for a 1932 pattern Mae West but cannot find, afford or justify the cost of an original this would be a very good choice.  Stock code MW22452.
