RFC officer rank 'Maternity' tunic

High quality privately tailored WW1 Royal Flying Corps officer's 'Maternity' pattern tunic.  Distinctive single breasted tunic with extended flap and concealed buttons up the right side of the body.  Flapped skirt pockets, central rear skirt vent, faux pointed cuffs, epaulettes and short collar with twin hook/eye fastenings.  Fully lined.  With lovely padded Observer brevet and bronze collar badges and rank pips.   The cloth is generally very good.  There is a small patch to the lower front skirt using original material that could be made neater (see photo), some small darns and moth trails but nothing too serious.  There is some wear and patching to the lining but again, this does not detract.  One button is absent and another is a replacement.  No markings or labels.  A very good '+' example of this fine rare RFC tunic.  Stock code U22520.
