RAF wiring loom c/w type 20 microphone

External type flying helmet wiring loom.  Stores reference 10H/10353.  Type Q loom wired to a type 20 microphone (type 21 when 'mounted' as here) ready for fitting to a type D oxygen mask.  The type 20, stores reference 10A/11994 has a black painted alloy casing and is often referred to as the "1941" pattern although actually introduced during October 1940.  It has some paint chipping/rubbing on exposed edges.  Air Ministry and King's crown markings.  Retains the original rubber "band" around the microphone on the reverse of the casing although this has hardened.  The pale tan coloured loom is soiled and has minor fraying.  The loom is fitted with an early brown  cased bell jackplug, stores reference 10H/10991.  Stock code O17245
