RAAF Mk.IIIA flying goggles, boxed

Australian Stores reference L1/40. One of the classic 'Battle of Britain' pattern goggles. The frame is in good condition bar some rubbing and paint loss in places. All frame screws are original, both hinge 'stops' are in place and one of the vent horn remains. The other is partly squashed/absent. The velvet backing is excellent and in a very dark blue typical of Australian variants. The nosepiece leather is equally good. The clear lenses have marking and surface scratching but remain quite good and display well. The strap springs are all complete/undamaged and the leather strap section is also very good. Other than the blue velvet backing and slightly different hinge stops these are near identical to standard RAF issue IIIAs. These come in the original (unmarked) card box of issue.
