FAA fighter pilot 'type' scarf

Code: M22202

Pale blue-grey rayon scarf with hand embroidered Fleet Air Arm King's crown pilot wing to one end.  Tasselled ends.  Approximately 92 x 17cm.  Typical of those made by fighter pilot and airmans' wives and girlfriends utilizing commercially available patterns.  Scarves were often worn to help prevent neck chafing during combat manoeuvres.  Some light  marking and creasing but in good used condition overall.   It is unusual to find FAA scarves.  Stock code M22202.
