RAF C-type flying helmet, late pattern, boxed

Stores reference 22c/877, size 1 (6^1/2 - 6^3/4 ). The leather is in very good condition, completely supple and undamaged. There is however some 'white' bloom within the leather grain, possibly as a result of poorly applied leather dressing. A careful clean may well remove this. Embossed with war department broad arrow and stores reference details. All goggle straps are good and all but one retain virtually all of the original coating on the press studs. Excellent flexible rubber receiver carriers. The lining is much cleaner than most but does have storage marks and some metal components have verdigris deposits. The chinstrap retains full colour and good elasticity. Fully wired with a mid tan coloured loom type 2091, type 32 (10A/13466) receivers and brown cased bell jackplug. A very good, probably unissued example with original card box of issue (worn). Stock code H21341.
