'Thermally Insulated Flying Suit, Jacket'. Physically measures 47" (pit to pit) so should be suitable for around a 42" chest. This example is of typical early war configuration with single panel front and single seam back panel construction. The leather on this jacket is thicker/more robust than many produced and is in good '+" to very good overall condition retaining much of the original chromed finish and flexibility. Some restitching work on the seam binding tapes is evident and there is a small patch on the left arm - see photographs. Other things to note are that is seems to have had a section of the right underarm gussett replaced and the collar may have been replaced or re-attached. Excellent short dense fur lining and collar facing. Both cuffs are quite worn but the waist retains good fur. All zips are original D-o-T brand and in good working order. Complete with belt and collar strap / rings. No hanger or label. A good looking jacket. Further photographs available on request.
Approximate measurements : pit to pit 23.5", pit to cuff 23", Collar seam to waist 25". All taken with jacket laid flat and zipped.
