R.C.A.F.  R.96.  (RAF 1767).  Royal Canadian Air Force Flying log book for aircrew other than pilot.  Named to Navigator & Air Bomber (Armament) LAC K.D. Harding (139761) and covers the period from August 1943 to June 1945.  It begins with training exercises on Avro Ansons & Bolingbrokes at No.31 Bombing & Gunnery School, Picton, Ontario and No.9 Air Observer School, St. Johns Quebec.   He qualified as a Navigator (B) (Armament) on 17.9.43 and Air Bomber (Armament) on Feb. 25 1944.  By October 1944 he is at AFU RAF West Freugh (Scotland) where his assessment states 'bombing results inconsistent with experience - should become a good bomb aimer'.  In February 1945 he is at No.84 Operational training unit on Wellingtons and finally at 1651 heavy conversion unit, Woolfox Lodge (Rutland) on Lancaster bombers.  All entries are training flights, no operational sorties.  Has various stamps, course certifcates etc. within the pages.  Good condiiton.  Stock code P22873-7.
