Halifax bomber model

Well proportioned and very competently scratch built period model of the Handley Page Halifax bomber with four Hercules engines.  Approximately 44cm / 17" wingspan.  Constructed in oak (?) with solid brass detailing for the cockpit canopy and gun turrets etc.  The radial engines are really quite detailed and have copper cowlings, metal propellers and exhausts.  Metal undercarriage with wooden main wheels.  The mid upper turret, props and main wheels all rotate.  Can be displayed freestanding but comes with a wooden stand complete with engraved brass plaque.  An excellent display piece.  Quite heavy as carved from solid hardwood.  Stock code M22873-69.
