Stores reference 6B/234. A subsititute standard pilot's wristwatch by Waltham. 1942 contract date. Black dial with Arabic numerals. Luminous numerals, hands and sweep second hand. 16-jewel 'hack' lever escapement movement. The case is sound but has notable wear to the plating, scratching and general wear. The dial is pretty good and the the crystal has only fairly light scratching. Fitted with a replacement leather strap. The watch case has British War Department broad arrow, 6B/234 and serial code markings to the rear. Inside there is a paper oil cover and inner metal cap. The movement is 'Waltham' signed and 42 dated. The 'hack' facility appears to be in very good working order and the watch is keeping good time. Much cheaper than the standard 6B/159 pilot watches.
