By The Birmingham Medal Co. Air League lapel badge. Gilt brass and enamel with pin backing. Approximately 28mm diameter. One-piece construction with stamped eagle surrounded by a dark blue enamelled ring border. The central eagle surmounts a light blue enamelled globe. Text in gold lettering around the border ring reads "AIR LEAGUE IN COELO IMPERIUM".
The Air League of the British Empire was established in 1909 to further the cause of aviation in Britain. Excellent used condition. Stock code M23871.
