Parr escape and evasion compass lighter

By the Parr Manufacturing Co.  Approximately 5cm long x 2.5cm diameter. Known as the utility lighter this is an ingeniously designed device containing a hidden escape/evasion compass.  Manufactured in brass with a virtually undetectable inner brass sleeve concealing a standard 0.5" MI9 compass.  The lighter was completely functional even with the compass in position. Some variants of this lighter have coloured painted 'lids' but but this is the less common all brass type.  Some surface wear and minor scratches but otherwise in excellent unused condition.  The lighter has never had fuel added. Manufacturer's marks to the base. A fantastic little escape and evasion device.  Stock code E23849.
