RAF mess food cloche

Dimensions:

Electro Plated Nickel Silver (EPNS) food cloche with King's crown RAF crest to one side.  Approximately 23cm diameter and 5cm deep.  Bakelite handle (fixings for which appear to have been replaced - see photograph).  The original vendor had another idential example that had "Walker & Hall" manufacturer marks and 1939 date.  This is of the same period and would have been used in the RAF officers' mess to cover a plate in order to keep the food beneath warm.  It has a few scratches and the inside is somewhat tarnished but this would polish in minutes and  overall condition is good.  Perfectly useable.  Well made and surprisingly heavy.  Not a common find.  Stock code M22801.
