Air Ministry waste paper basket

Stores reference 21B/10.  Traditional woven wicker waste paper basket.  Approximately 42cm diameter at the top rim and 28cm at the base x 39cm tall.  Has distinct A.M. (Air Ministry), crown and reference markings to the base.  See photograph No.6 showing an identical one in use within a WW2 fighter dispersal hut.  The bin is a bit grubby/dusty with a few minor knocks/broken canes but in good overall condition.  They look great in a collection/period room but are really hard to find.  We collected this example from the RAF Northolt historian and it has graced our office for the past 25 years but we've recently found a slightly better one.  They are very difficult to find and we've only had about 6 the past 26 years...  Stock code NIV-bin.
